Eureka! you are rich. You have just returned home from panning for gold. You have a fleck of gold to show for your efforts but you are so much richer for the experience.
Does the following describe you? You are fairly fit. You enjoy solitude or being in small groups. You are adventurous and now find yourself with some time on your hands. The typical vacation activities do not appeal to you and you long to trade the noise pollution of urban dwelling with the chirps of birds and the wind rustling through the fallen and dried leaves of the popular and the oak. What about panning for gold? Your gold prospecting will probably not permit you to retire any time soon but your spirit will be restored, your mind rested and your body a little fitter.
Available to the rookie DIY prospector are an abundance of clubs you may join for a small fee that have established mining rights and legal claims in very good areas. This will permit you to legally prospect in many different locations. As most of your prospecting will be beside a river, stream or tributary, there is always a mandatory book of regulations pertaining to the laws regarding safe keeping of the environment, etc. When you join a prospecting club, you may benefit from the experience of others who started out just like you through demonstrations, workshops, and possibly even equipment loans. Your initial investment in membership fees and equipment can be as low as one hundred and fifty dollars (approximately).
Opportunity awaits!
